Summary
The San Pablo Hotel was a red-tagged earthquake damaged building that was purchased by a nonprofit organization and 85% renovated. When the original nonprofit could not complete the work, EBALDC and Eden Housing stepped in as co-general partners to convert the building to 144 rooms for seniors age 55 and older. A third nonprofit, Center for Elders Independence (CEI) entered into a 15-year lease of the ground floor to establish medical facilities for frail seniors.Map
