Noble Tower's ground was broken on May 6, 1980 for a Section 8 new construction apartment complex solely for elderly and/or handicapped persons. Noble Tower is located in the heart of Oakland, right across the street from beautiful Lake Merritt. This apartment complex is in an excellent location for seniors by being so close to commercial, public and community facilities. Transportation is easily within walking distance, being only one block from bus service and just 3 blocks from BART service.

The building itself has 195 self-contained units, 13 of which are equipped for wheelchair handicapped residents. There is a spacious activity area with a large TV room and is equipped with its own kitchen. There are laundry facilities for the exclusive use of the residents and the security service around the clock.

The managing agent is dedicated to providing decent, safe, affordable and equal housing for anyone who is qualified regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, or sex.
