Made up entirely of people 62 years of age and older, the Avalon is a unique blend of community living and independent lifestyle. Avalon Senior Housing is located in Emeryville, CA, across the street from the Bay Bridge Center. The 67 senior apartments are a mix of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments with twenty-five different floor plans. All units are equipped with a self-cleaning oven and refrigerator, as well as emergency pulls. The first floor features a large community kitchen and lounge area, management office, and several retail stores. Adjacent to the building's gated parking lot is a community garden space, where several residents grow a variety of flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees.
