Qualifications/Position Summary

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for A/P functions including data entry, processing checks, filing, scanning, copying, document shredding, participating in efficiency projects, and other projects/duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

At least 1 year related experience or education in general accounting, an AA in Accounting or related is highly desirable. Proficiency in the following software or systems: MS Excel; Strong data entry and 10-key by touch abilities; Ability to accurately sort, check, count and verify numbers; Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter; A high degree of confidentiality required; Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines. Works under immediate supervision while exercising minimal independent judgment; Professional demeanor; team player orientation; Competent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills; Capable knowledge of accounting procedures and practices .
