Development Associate (Fund Development), Full-time
Qualifications/Position Summary
The Development Associate is responsible for achieving the fundraising goals and developing and growing EBALDC’s individual donor base related to events activities and the annual giving campaign. The Development Associate also participates in the development and cultivation of EBALDC’s Volunteer Program. Reporting to the Executive Director and working dynamically with the Fund Development team, the Development associate plays a key role in envisioning and shaping the direction and outcomes of the Fund Development Department in supporting the mission and values of EBALDC.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications::
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years professional fundraising experience; Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced team environment; Strong budget, planning, organizational, and time management skills; Demonstrated ability to think strategically; Have a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing deadlines; Strong attention to details and accuracy; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Energetic, flexible, and positive with a high degree of initiative and a good sense of humor; Ability to motivate others and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and stakeholders from diverse cultures and organizational levels; Experience supervising staff, interns and volunteers; Proficiency with Microsoft applications, spreadsheets, and donor databases; Be able to occasionally work extended hours especially in preparation for and during special events; Enthusiasm for and commitment to EBALDC’s mission and values; Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for fundraising and working with people.
