He teaches calligraphy in San Francisco and paints from his home in Oakland’s Fruitvale District. His beautiful mountain landscapes, nature studies and figurative portraits can be viewed at the Asian Resource Gallery, Monday thru Friday, 9 to 6pm.
A free public reception with the artist will be held on Thursday, December 17th at 6 PM, where he will demonstrate traditional brushpainting. Live music by Mandy Cheung on pipa, accompanied by erhu will also be performed that evening. The exhibit, Changing Landscapes will be on display at the ARG during the months of December 2009 thru January 2010.
The Asian Resource Gallery, which specializes in presenting works of artists of color, is a project of the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, and this exhibit is co-sponsored by the EastSide Arts Alliance.
