For the first time in its history EBALDC held its 10th Annual Golf Tournament in our home city of Oakland. On Monday, June 16, 2008 over 100 players joined us at the Metropolitan Golf Links to enjoy a myriad of contests before and during the round, great tee and contest prizes, a silent auction of wonderful items during a hosted reception and an a special awards banquet for players and guests. We were especially honored to end the fun day with guest speaker California State Controller John Chiang during the awards ceremony and buffet dinner. We were also fortunate to have the 2007 graduating class of our Youth Digital Connectors Program at Lion Creek Crossings join us to speak about the difference their participation in that program has made in their lives. Other honored guests included Ray Leon representative of Council Member Larry Reid. Thank you to all who participated for making this year’s golf classic fundraiser a success!
